I agree with other ratings, Park needs updating and road repair. We stayed a week here. I only rated a 5 because of the pretty good pull thru site and free wireless that worked very well.
Park is conveniently located off I10, however, old and need of updating. Especially as far as water and electric go. Many sites are grass. It is petty pricey for the value. The shed restaurant in front serving very good barbecue.
We stayed here enroute North and found the park easy to access from I-55 just South of Memphis. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Pool was closed when we were there, restrooms are very clean as well as laundry facilities. We would stay here again.
We stopped overnight. Arrived early afternoon. Office locked. Sign on door asked to put fee in envelope and put into slot. No envelope. Office was open later for an hour or so. Pretty hilly lots but adequate for overnight stay. There was no mention of WIFI when we paid up but was able to connect to it nevertheless. Would stay again overnight.
We stayed the Winter of 08-09 in a motor home. Liked the park as it has roomy spaces and ample parking for trailers, etc. Had numerous activities over the season. Electric rates were up and down all Winter. Texas has unregulated rates and they vary all over the place. Of course the wind was a negative factor this year. Restrooms were in the need of attention, taken care of by Volunteer workers, as was the laundry facilities, which also needed a little TLC Overall, adequate.. Better than most in the area.
It is easy to get in and out. It is near restaurants, etc and near the city. Killer free WIFI is so useful. Just overnight is fine. Large sites and I believe are all pull through.
